2. Responsibility for Data Processing

Facultét informs users of the website facultet.school about its policy regarding the processing and protection of personal data of users and customers that may be collected by browsing or requesting information through this website.

In this regard, Facultét guarantees compliance with current regulations on the protection of personal data, as reflected in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter "GDPR"), applicable from 25 May 2018, and informs you that it has implemented the necessary technical and organizational security measures to ensure and protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data entered.

3. Collection, Purpose, and Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject). An identifiable person is a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to a name, an identification number (ID card, NIF, NIE, passport), contact details, country of residence, date of birth, social network account, technical information (username, IP address, browser and device data, information collected through cookies), preferences (preferred educational courses, timetable), bank account number, health status (allergies).

Facultét collects personal data directly from the user: in person or online (when contacting customer service, enrolling in one of the courses, or providing written information). Facultét also collects personal data through cookies, from your device (where this feature is enabled), from business partners such as local agents promoting courses in your country of residence, and from other sources such as public databases; joint marketing partners such as marketing agencies, software providers, and digital marketing automation and analytics services; social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, and messaging services such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.

Facultét will process your personal data for the purpose of completing your booking and providing you with the services you have requested, for administrative and customer services, or where necessary to perform the contract between the user and Facultét.

Facultét may also use personal data for statistical purposes, to enable you to participate in messages, chats, profile pages, blogs, and use other services that give you the ability to post information and materials, to analyze and improve its offerings by identifying usage trends and evaluating the effectiveness of its promotional campaigns.

Facultét has a duty to inform users of its website about the collection of personal data that may be carried out, for example, by sending emails or filling out forms on the website. In this regard, Facultét shall be considered responsible for the data collected through the means described above.

Facultét informs users that the purpose of the processing of the collected data includes: processing user requests, inclusion in the contact agenda, and the provision of educational services.

The operations, management, and technical procedures that are carried out automatically or non-automatically and that enable the collection, storage, modification, and other actions on personal data, are considered to be the processing of personal data.

The required data are necessary to identify users and to use and/or access the services and functionalities that will be available in Facultét.

All personal data collected through the Facultét website, and therefore considered as personal data processing, will be included in the file owned by Facultét for the purpose of sending information, responding to queries, general contacts, application management, certificates, and invoices. All these data will be included in the various records of processing activities available to the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD), responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations according to current Portuguese and European legislation. Users can file a complaint if they believe that this platform has violated their fundamental rights regarding data protection.

Facultét may contact users by any available electronic means (website, email, phone, and/or messages) to send notifications, inform them of updates or improvements related to usage, and news or events of interest.

The legal basis for processing users' personal data is:

4. Communication of Information to Third Parties

Facultét guarantees the confidentiality of the data provided on this website and ensures that under no circumstances will it be passed on to third parties unless expressly authorized by the user.
For example, data may be transferred to commercial partners involved in educational activities, transportation and accommodation providers, or the travel insurance company arranging your travel insurance; to service providers such as IT systems providers (e.g., for customer relationship management or payments, scheduling classes, or storing learning outcomes); or providers of software and services for digital marketing automation and analytics.
Facultét may also share personal data when it believes it is required to do so by applicable law; to comply with legal processes in the event that the user has acted contrary to law or breached the content of the legal notice; to respond to requests from public or governmental authorities, including public or governmental authorities outside your country of residence; to enforce its terms and conditions or a contract; to protect your rights, privacy, safety, security, property, and to limit damages.
Facultét, in accordance with legal requirements, has adopted security levels for the protection of personal data and has installed all technical and organizational means at its disposal to try to avoid the alteration, loss, unauthorized processing, or access to the data.

5. User Rights

Users are informed of the possibility of exercising their rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition. Each person also has the right to limit the processing of personal data concerning him/her, the right to erasure of personal data transmitted to the data controller, and the right to data portability.

The user has the possibility of lodging a complaint with the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados) or the competent body of their respective region when they have not obtained a satisfactory solution in the exercise of their rights by contacting the company.

Unless the user objects, by sending an email to hi@facultet.school, their data may be used, where appropriate, if necessary, to send commercial information from Facultét.

The data provided will be kept as long as the commercial relationship is maintained or for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations.

The user is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided through this website, being responsible for the accuracy of all data provided and will keep it updated to reflect a real situation, being responsible for false or inaccurate information provided and the damage, inconvenience, and problems that may cause to Facultét or third parties.

This information will be kept and managed with due confidentiality, applying the necessary computer security measures to prevent access to or improper use of your data, its manipulation, deterioration, or loss.

However, the user must bear in mind that the security of computer systems is never absolute. Facultét declines any responsibility for the consequences of these acts for the user if they voluntarily published the information.

You may access and exercise these rights by sending a written and signed request to the address RUA CAMPOS JÚNIOR, 9A/9B, Lisbon, Portugal, enclosing a photocopy of your ID card or equivalent document.

These rights will be dealt with within 1 month, which may be extended to 2 months if the complexity of the request or the number of requests received so requires. This is without prejudice to the duty to keep certain data under legal terms until possible liabilities arising from a possible processing or, where appropriate, from a contractual relationship, expire.

In addition to the above, and in relation to data protection regulations, users who so request have the possibility of organizing the destination of their data after their death.

6. Image Processing

Within the context of the Course, students may be portrayed and/or filmed in images, photographs, and recordings during lessons and academic activities organized as part of the program, and Facultét may use them in brochures, documents, and other informational media within the framework of its activity as an educational institution.
